You Can See My Works

I am thrilled to be able to tell you that examples of my works are now on show at three locations in the Blackall Ranges in Queensland. Several works from 2006-7 can be seen at David Linton's in Maleny (14 Maple Street). These works include the spectacular 'You and Me', a large painting based losely on French actress Audrey Tautou.

Three recent works are on show at LiziArt in Montville. These works are all representative of my cyrrent style using part-blended primary oils colours, rich impasto textures and semi-abstracted figures. A further 5 recent works are showing at the brand new gallery Art Direct in Mapleton. This is a magic location where 5 artists are combining to put on a great show.

These, and many other sights, are well worth seeing on your next visit to the Sunshine Coast north of Brisbane. Have a great day out!

Art Sydney 2009

I am very pleased to have entered Art Sydney's 2009 show entitled Art Off The Wall. This is a three day expo-style event for emerging artists who do not have gallery representation in Sydney. Art Off The Wall is held 22 to 25 October. I intend to present must best works so if you're in the area you may want to plan ahead to catch the atmosphere of this festival of art and meet up with art-friends. Successful Opening

On Saturday May 23 we had a well attended, sucessful opening of Lost and Found Women 1. There were 25 works on display from the period 2007 to 2009. As this was my first self-curated solo exhibition, I was especially pleased with the positive response to my works and the words 'amazing' and 'confident' seemed to characterise the evening. Live guitar music by Blair Wright complemented the buzz and good humour of the event.

We also raised some funds for the Pindari Womens Shelter in Brisbane which was satisfying. Prizes from Everyone Deserves Art (an original painting entitle Living Above the Clouds), Sirromet Wines, Gardens Point Theatre tickets, Brisbane Arts Theatre tickets and tickets for the Blue Room Cinebar were well received. I thank all the sponsors who kindly donated the prizes.
